I am now the proud owner of a Brand New PTO clutch for a Cub 2186, still unopened, which I do not need. Any offers?

You know that Murphy's Law says that as soon as you sell it you will need it :) ....

Can't you return it? Even if it was a special order and you got charged 20-25% restocking you would be ahead. I've got one clutch going bad on one of my cubs and it is about 22years old with 1700 hours on the tractor. You may have to wait a long time before you need it, if ever. ....

Somebody called?

Ken, you're close, but not quite right, Murphy's Law would be holding on to it for 22 years then having everything BUT that clutch fall apart.

Best of luck. ....

Seriously, since lcguy already has had some trouble with his pto clutch who knows how long it will last? I sort of have this rule I live by - if it seems flakey it probably is. ....

I'm kind of hoping I get another 22 years out of it. Murphy was never my friend though. ....

Actually, I just found out last night that it is going to last more than 22 years. Found out the clutch contacts are out of whack. (i.e. clutch don't re-engage after it warms-up. It needs a 10 minute cool down break before it works again.) Just enough time to have a beer with the neighbor. Then again, some times you have to shut-it-off often to get a 6 or 12 pack down with the neighbor. ....
